October 10, 2014 - Dutch Blue Lovebird or Dutch Blue Peach-faced Lovebird (Agapornis roseicollis)

This popular color mutation of the Peach-faced Lovebird first occurred in Holland around 1963. They look similar to the Whitefaced Blue mutation, but can be distinguished by the cream color of their face and light orange band across their forehead. Both of these birds are missing most of the red and yellow pigments present in the feathers of a wild type Peach-faced Lovebird.
